Today is going to be a historic day for me.  I am going to go surfing for the first time.  I know what you’re thinking… “cj, it’s just surfing, what’s the big deal??”
well i’ll tell you.

my biggest fear in this world isn’t death.  it’s not clowns.  and it’s for sure not heights.
oh yeah. its sharks.
think about it…  i’m a pretty big guy ( i stand at 6′6 with 230 lbs of sexy) and a shark is still twice my length.  im a pretty good swimmer ( i’m a certified lifeguard ) and it still swims three times as fast as me… maybe more.  i have a pretty big mouth… but it’s got 3 rows of like 100 teeth, he eats me like i eat chipotle…. swallows that stuff whole.  you’re totally helpless and at a sharks will in the water.
And that is why i’m so excited for today.  i’ve always wanted to go surfing…  but sharks kind’ve stopped me.  now i know what you’re thinking…. “cj, why now? what changed???”
i’ll tell you, nothing.  my balls just got bigger.  I’m scared s**tless, but i’m going for it. 

Cause you know what…  if i don’t, i’m just going to regret it.  and above all else i could never forgive myself for having to live with regrets. 
see world… i’m deathly afraid of regrets.  regrets and sharks….
no killing machine you throw at me could ever make me so scared i wouldn’t do something and regret it later on.  That’s why i became an art major.  because i love it.  it’s not the safest job out there, there’s no guarantee i can find money.  i could’ve just gone with business and made it easy for myself.  but i’d regret it.  i admire people that do what excites them.
so i guess my biggest fear isn’t sharks.  It’s regrets… but sharks are up there.
